Six New Castle residents arrested following drug raid

Six New Castle residents were arrested Saturday at a home in the 2000 block of Cherrywood Avenue after the Henry County Area Drug Task Force executed a search warrant. 

Those arrested, and their preliminary charges, include:

Jimmy Cowan, 57, dealing meth, maintaining a common nuissance, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. 

James Evans, Jr., 49, visiting a common nuissance. 

Daniel Huckeby, 42, dealing meth, maintaining a common nuissance, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. 

Anita Parrish, 51, dealing meth, maintaining a common nuissance, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. 

Bobbie Rose, 38, visiting a common nuissance. 

Kendra Radford, 27, a warrant for body attachment, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuissance. 

According to a press release, the search warrant was executed around 3:38 p.m. at a home located at 2613 Cherrywood Ave., New Castle. Officers located methamphetamine, syringes, paraphernalia, repackaging material and scales.

The New Castle Police Department’s Road Division, the Henry County Sheriff’s Department Road Division and the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Monday morning, five of the six people arrested remained incarcerated. Rose was no longer listed as an inmate at Henry County Jail.
