CORRECTION
Jim Cole’s name was accidentally omitted from a photo caption that appeared on page A6 of Friday’s newspaper. Cole was pictured in the front row alongside New Castle High School junior rotarians. The Courier-Times regrets the error.
POLICE
April 12
Brian Coffey, 55, was arrested and preliminarily charged with forgery.
An unidentified male was reported following school children from a bus drop off in the 200 block of N. 27th St. Police weren’t able to locate the man.
April 13
Chad Eric Stearns, 33, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a syringe, possession of a Schedule IV drug and disorderly conduct.
New Castle police disposed of a syringe found in the 1000 block of S. 14th Street.
Richard A. Ross, 29, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, public intoxication and driving while being a habitual traffic violator, a Level 6 felony.
Thaddeus Dutrow, 54, was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal trespass and invasion of privacy.
April 14
New Castle police disposed of a syringe found near the intersection of S. 14th St. and G Ave.
Tyler Huff, 29, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Lee Troy, 33, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of 0.15 or higher.
Arrest information, including the name, age, address and criminal charges, are obtained from police media reports. All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in court.
