Ronald Stephen Bowling
Ronald Stephen Bowling, 77, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 10, 1933 in London, KY. The son of the late Ezekial and Bertha (Sweet) Bowling.

Ron retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 32 years of service, he was a member of the United Autoworkers, Lewisville Presbyterian Church, The First Baptist Church in Everglades City, Florida. He was a avid fisherman, a master craftsman and a fixer of all things broken. Ron was not a joiner, but devoted his time to the service of others. He helped all who needed his help, working long days to help them accomplish their home improvement projects. 

Survivors include wife, the former Katherine Lochmueller. They were married on October 16, 1978 in Florence, Alabama; 3 daughters, Vicki (Ron) Dukes of Louisville, KY, Ronda (John) Beck of Lexington, KY and Kathy (Rick) Parker of Centerville, IN; 2 sons- Ronald Bowling of West Bloomfield, MI and Jeffrey Gillespie of Lewisville, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Tinkle, Craig (Amber) Parker, Andrew (Stacy) Parker, Stephanie Beck, John David Beck and Grant Huyear; 6 great grandchildren, Haylee, Elizabeth and Edward Parker, Luke, Jacob and Nicholas Tinkle, lifelong friend- Jimmy Claar; 2 brothers, Ezekial Bowling of Hamilton, OH and David Bowling of Marietta, GA; sister, Elizabeth Sullivan of Hamilton, OH.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Buelah Hendrix and best friend and brother, Donald Bowling.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Lewisville Presbyterian Church in Lewisville. The Reverends, Arthur Whitaker, Clifton Comes and Peter Zinn will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lewisville Presbyterian Church or to the donor's favorite charity. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
